The history of the Garofalo Group is a history that starts long time ago, in the post-war far-off period, when Italy was a shattered country, with an uncertain future.
Raffaele Garofalo was a young idealist pursuing a dream he strongly believed in: becoming a great surgeon.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Garofalo Group’s birth, the lawyer Maria Laura has written a book entitled 'Ça irà', which goes back through the history of the family company, from the post-war period till present times. That history has been nourished by the passion, the feelings, the sacrifice, the dedication and the strength of the people who, giving a strong meaning to their own life choice, contributed to create a reality that, nowadays, turns out to be essential in the Italian private health system. An entrepreneurial group made of an army of men and women sharing an important mission: respecting human life and protecting health, that, as Raffaele Garofalo was used to say, “Is men’s most precious gift”.

As every year, on the 19th of December 2009, in the prestigious location of the Cavalieri Hilton Hotel of Rome, was held the “Together in the Group” convention, through which Garofalo Group wanted to publicly thank and to reward all the people who, in the past years, contributed with ability and dedication to its relentless growth. Prizes and awards were given to the structures and the single professionals that have distinguished by their excellence and have been outstanding for their constant professional involvement.
